Grants
Kaumātua Grants are available to those aged 60 years and over and are paid annually.
Applications are opened in October each year and close in November.
Health Grants are available to those aged 60 years and over, to assist in the cost of Glasses, Hearing Aids and Dentures / Dental Health.
Applicants can only receive one Health Grant per financial year (1 July to 30 June).
The Trust pays a maximum of:
$500 per Grant for Hearing Aids or Dentures / Dental
$300 per Grant for Glasses
Poripori Farm A Trust offer Tertiary Education Assistance grants to those in their second year of full-time study and later.
Shareholder applicants studying overseas can also apply, noting that the grant is paid in New Zealand dollars (NZD).
Applicants must be an owner or descendant of an owner in Poripori Farm A Trust.
Applications close 31 March each year.
The Trust provides up to 3x sheep for tangi of deceased shareholders. The deceased must be listed as a shareholder at the time of passing.
If the deceased is a beneficiary of a Whānau Trust that is a shareholder, applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Proof of whakapapa to the original shareholder is required.
Farm Staff will prepare the sheep for collection.
